JULY 1-2 Four Sixes Ranch - Cookin on the Sixes Wagon for a bunch of Aussie Ranchers here in the States via the NRCS (National Range Conservation Service) They will be discussing range management, brush control, horse breeding, all aspects of cattle production as well as dining on some ranch raised steaks, sour dough biscuits and cherry cobbler that Dawg and Terry'll be cookin up for'em.

Gateway Time Trial

The Outlaw Chef, Terry Chandler of Fred's Cafe will show up with brother John and grill up some Chiken Laygs and Veggies for both Racers and Gawkers. The food is free but donations for Caden's Cure are gladly accepted and greatly appreciated.

ITS FREE TO RACE!!!! And most racers show up early for some warm up laps on the recently groomed fast ass 3 mile loop, diligently maintained by the Coolyons of the FWMBA trail maintenance crew of volunteers who are now hard at work to expand the already super cool loop. Its a two lap, (6 miles) time trial with beverage prizes for the fastest 4 timed riders. Food and prizes courtesy of Fred's Express Catering. To me, bartending is like jazz: there is a basic framework, but lots of improvisation and it all happens over the bar, not behind it. A great bartender likes people and knows how to make an evening happen. They are the hosts of a party that happens nightly in their "home," the bar where they toil. In these troubled times, there is no finer solace than the confines of a well-run bar. When managing bars, I always said that I'd rather hire a personality behind the bar than a technician, because customers are always forgiving of those who have charisma and charm. You can't teach those things to anyone.

Yet again, Wed. night mountain bike racing dominates DFW!!! 6-2-2010 marked the beginning of June's points series. There will be several different contests this month to shake things up a little bit. Next weeks course will be different... I'm not telling just yet, but comparing previous times will not matter!! Also, Terry Chandler of Fred's Texas Cafe, has introduced a new contest into the mix: Predict your time. This means that each rider will have to predict his/her best time for the length of the event. There will be separate prizes for this event compliments of GWTT's premier sponsor, Fred's TEXAS!

Well, the thank you list: Terry & John Chandler for the great support/delicious food, Anna Clark-Huey, Gina, the Peddler, MBBC, Alex(course marshal), Colonel's Bikes(the e-z up was nice during the rain, and to all of the riders for helping make this as fun as possible.
