Fred's Texas Cafe and its Outlaw Chef/owner Terry Chandler, claimed the national spotlight last year when the cafe was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on the Food Network. So, perhaps, it was only a matter of time before another Fred's came into being.

On Tuesday, Fred's II (also called Fred's North) opened in Fort Worth, just west of Interstate 35W on Western Center Blvd. We had to take a hike up there to see for ourselves, because we never thought there would be another Fred's.
